I teach extra classes at my school every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 7:30-8:50.

Last week I had the first class on Tuesday and then missed the Thursday morning class. Evidently waking up at 6:00 am is a little difficult and I slept right through my alarm and woke up at 7:45. So I apoligized to the teacher in charge of the class and I feel pretty terrible about it. The students were there waiting for me and I wasn't there.

So I had the second class this last Tuesday and was supposed to have the third class this morning. I woke up in the middle of the night with violent stomach ache/cramps and spend most of the early morning in the bathroom. It was pretty bad so I sent messages to my co-teachers that I was going to the doctor at 8:00 when the doctor's office opened. So I missed another class.

So after going to the doctor I came into school and the vice principal wanted to have a quick meeting about the extra classes. He's worried about the missed classes and, most importantly, about the parents.

There's not too much I can do about it now but I feel bad about missing classes. Other than making up the missed classes and working hard in them, what should I do?

I don't think there's much you can do. Your second missed class was for a valid reason. You obviously have the right attitude toward your commitments, and I would guess that you were able to convey that to your vice-principal. If he's a reasonable person, he should be able to see an understand that.
I don't know what age group your extra class is, but if they were old enough, I think I would apologize to them at the beginning of the next class for letting them down.

That's too bad Mr. Vice Principal. I'm human. Stuff happens. Cancel the class and don't bug me about it anymore.

I have two alarm clocks and my earliest classes are at 8.30AM. I don't think the students will mind too much about having the extra down-time.

Are extra morning classes at your school 80 minutes long? Extra morning academic classes at mine are 50 minutes as usual and extra vocational classes are 30 minutes. That must be a really long time to keep them going.

Yeah 80 minutes long but I try to keep it pretty mellow and relaxed. It's early in the morning and they're are damned tired too. I guess I'll buy them choco pies or something next class.
