McCain lied....and people died. He still believes troops should stay in Iraq indefinately.

McCain's attempt at having a sense of humor...and bad singing.

Poor Rudy...daddy was a criminal too.

Rudy's Firm represents Venezuelan oil company Citigo and Chavez. It's nice to know he works with people that support the so called terrorists.

If Mario Cuomo was unqualified to be president because of his Italian name, how much more unqualified is Rudy with a moniker like Guiliano?

If Rudy is elected, we may as well just turn the country over to the Mafia outright...and the pope as well. The Republic is doomed.

When the Democratic party fully realizes that the Bathists, the Khomeni followers and the Al Qaedists have been after the US for a long time they will be ready for the presidency. When they realize that the US justice system is not up to handling terrorists they will be right for the presidency . When they stop putting faith in a corrupt and selective UN they will be right for the presidency, and when they are willing to make the investment in the next generation of weapons systems that will make Iran' nuclear program next to worthless they will be right for the presidency.

Until that time the Democratic party can't not be trusted to protect the security of the US.

Looking at the current field of Republican candidates, I would have to say it is over for them. McCain? 8 years too late. Rudy? people are going to soon realize that using 9/11 to stump is tacky (unfortunately this is 4 years too late). The Mormon? Never going to happen.

As flawed as the Democratic side is (Hillary's "Southern" drawl, Barack's complete lack of substance, and Edward's $400 haircuts) they at least have more positives.

You might be correct on the other hand McCain and Rudy are stonger candidates than Bush was in 2000 and the Democrats don't have a strong record in national elections. The Democrats couldn't win in 2000 even with an aptmosphere of peace and prosperity behind them. The fact that was even close shows what a conservative country the US is.National polls at this point have Rudy beating either Hillary or Obama. and McCain nearly even with them. Throw in that McCain has the strongest foreign policy creditials ever by presidental candiate and he has a chance as well.
It won't be easy for the Republicans but it won't be easy for the Democrats either. That Gore could not win in 2000 tells a lot about the US electorate.

I disagree with you about Rudy..I think he's got a chance. I do agree with you about McCain. His campaign is hurting and I would bet you he drops out either on or before Feb 5th 2008.

If Fred Thompson gets in the race, the Republicans candidates will be dropping like flies. Look for McCain, Brownback, Hagel, Huckabee and Hunter to exit stage right (literally).

McCains' biggest problem is that Rudy entered the race. If Gullani were not there then McCain would still be the Republican front runner.
