Saudi Arabia sentences Egyptian to death for desecrating Koran Thu-19-Apr-2007 10:05am
An Egyptian living in Saudi Arabia has been sentenced to death for desecrating the Koran and renouncing Islam.
He was sprung by worshippers at a mosque who told police the man had left copies of the Muslim holy book in the wash rooms.
A court found him guilty of no longer being a Muslim and violating the boundaries set by God.
