Wonder if this kid was any relation to the former USFK Commander, General Leon LaPorte.
Anyone know where General LaPorte's family hailed from?
I do recall that there was a Dr. Jean LaPorte who was the director of the UC-Riverside-Gangnam English language program and she was related to General LaPorte. Met her at a TESOL conference and I remember her saying her family was from the east, but can't recall if it was Virginia.
The kid was in ROTC or a cadet in some form of military academy affiliated with VT. His released picture has him in uniform. |
