Does anyone have any recommendations for cheap routes to Hong Kong?
I'm looking to go for Chuseok week and the cheapest quote I've had so far is around 650,000w with Thai Airways from Incheon. I'm in Busan, so I'd need to add another 150,000w for a return flight to Incheon.
This seems ridiculous as it's only a 3-odd hour flight, and my parents are paying less flying in from London! |

I'm thinking of Hong Kong for Chuseok this year, too. Aren't you a little early to be checking ticket prices now for September? Traveling outside of Korea is always an expensive pain in the butt. That's why I spent the last two straight years in Korea without going anywhere, except one weekend trip to Nagoya. I guess I will have to suck it up and pay this time though. I don't want to sit in Korea during my vacations this time. |

the cathay package is pretty good, we did it over chusok a couple of years ago and extended it to 5 nites and it was 900k/person and you stay in a 4 star hotel with a great breakfast near the ferry. |

Hi Annabella,
I'm also looking at Hong Kong deals for Chuseok.
XANADU TRAVEL http://www.xanadu.co.kr/ have packages that include airfares, hotel and transfers starting from 493,000 won. (ex Incheon)
I've used this company before and they are ok. (Double check everything especially name spellings on tickets). Some other teachers told me they were on the expensive side so I'm hunting down a better deal. I'll let you know if I find anything. |
