I hope this is the right place for this, but I'm just wondering by some off chance if anyone knows of a decent place to work in Gyeonggi-do Gwangju-shi (the Gwangju-shu just east of Seoul, NOT the big one down south). I'm a career teacher with four years teaching experience soon to have an MA in applied linguistics, so I don't want just any job.

Anybody live or work in the area or have any ideas about the place? Thanks in advance.

It not really that close to Seoul. In fact it's over a 90 minute trip to most parts of Seoul.

Doesn't Ding Ding Dang have a hagwon in the at area? You could get a cool 100,000 more a month with a near MA.

I live in this Gwangju and for me it is about a 20 minute bus ride to Moran (in Seongnam the next town) where you can connect with the Seoul subway and travel anywhere in Seoul that you want ... It is definitely not over a 90 minute trip to most parts of Seoul. Many people seem to consider Seongnam with its subway connection and no obvious physical break between it and Seoul as part of Seoul. I have not found it difficult so far to get anywhere I have wanted to go ... To me 20 minutes or so on a bus to connect with the Seoul subway network does not make Gwangju a long way from Seoul.
