Reading about games getting scratched, I wonder how this Korean gamer community is faring... I bought a 360 in November with a manufacture date of March 15 2006. I've read that later model systems have had their kinks worked out and will not brick, scratch games, or overheat as often as old earlier system. I wonder if this is true??

My system is part of a "problem batch" that is known for malfunctioning, yet it has not, yet (knock on wood.) So far it's put a ring on one game, similar to that described by "shifdog" but I just wiped mine off (99% gone) with a cloth. I think it happened because of dust build up when I left a game in for about a month, dust built up on the tray and slightly abraded the disk as it spun, there is still a ring there but it is very faint...

Anyway, how is everyone's XBOX 360 faring? When did you buy it and, more importantly, when was it made?? There is a lot of whinging and moaning on the larger XBOX forums, I wonder what a smaller forum, like this, has to say.

There are definitely problems with the earlier XBoxes. Its evident because Microsoft has been revising their repair/warranty policy over and over.

As for me, my 360 has locked up a couple times. Other than that, no major problems. I haven't had a disc scratched yet.
