To be a police officer:

-You must be willing to ignore all the laws and infractions going on around you at all times.

-You must be willing to let older ajosshis shove you around yet do nothing about it.

-You must have the car's roof lights on at all times.

To be a manager of Lotteria:

-You must wear a stupid hat.

-You must never smile.

-You must have 'my life sucks' written on your forehead.

Apparently that is a pre requisite for any service job here

And always take around ten whole minutes to serve up a meal with coffee, even though there are four of you behind the counter and only two customers...

And NEVER, NEVER, serve food hot. Fries must be stale and cold at all times.

And when the foreigner comes up to the counter, giggle and run to the back because you're too shy to speak to him.

Even if he speaks to you in perfect Korean, still giggle, hide behing your hands, look at your co-workers and laugh and say 'no understand tee hee hee...'

Ha ha. gotta love it.
