Hi,
My home computer has a virus and I also uninstalled most of my Office files. I'm taking that hardrive into the shop tomorrow and bring home my office computer.
I'm just wondering how I will be able to set up the connection at home (KT) on my office computer. I have the username and password for my home KT account. What else would I have to do?
I have to connect the internet cable to the other hardrive and then what? Will I be prompted? Can I create the KT account on the new hardrive? Will I have to do something like change the IP address, etc.
There will be no KT icon on the screen (so no KT connection). How would I create this?
The KT guy is coming by sometime tomorrow morning, but I want to see if I can do this myself. |

I assume that when you say "hard drive" you actually mean the tower component of your computer system (did you really remove the HDD from the tower?)
Plug the office tower into the network (cat5) cable and it should connect (dynamic IP addressing).
If you need to run anything to get connected you will need to get the KT guy to install it for you (in case you do NOT have dynamic IP addressing). |

Thanks, but the KT guy just came in, so I'm good to go.
I have two computers. It's funny, because last night I was sitting at my desk with 2 19" screens and hardrives on either side of me, 2 mouses, etc. Felt like I was in high tech world. |
