Ok I myself have been here 10 years this July and have been comforatably employed during this time. A friend of mine is looking at coming over and is getting her TESOl certificate in June. She has a couple years at a college, but that's it. I could have sworn that it IS legally possible to teach with just a TESOL certificate, in fact I remember at my first job (an institute) that a guy who was a hairdresser came over an taught with his 3 week TESOL certifcate. Anyway does anyone know if it is possible to get an E-2 visa with solely a TESOL certificate, or MUST she have a university degree? Thanks in advance.... |

Immigration regulatiosn are that you must have a bachelor's degree. There isn't anyway to get around that and work legally. Unless your friend is of Korean descent or married toa korean. |

A degree was required in 1995. Not sure before that. |
