Hey people
Is anyone aware of any decent gyms in the HBC/Noksapyeong/Itaewon area where it's possible to pay by the month without committing to a longer period..just looking for standard weight machines and free weights with a few cardio machines.. I'm only around for two months. would appreciate any ideas at all on this one.
thanks |

Wellness Gym in Kyungidan.
I think it's 108,000 a month of 216,000 for 3 months. Lot of weight machines, free weights, cardio, sauna, workout room with classes (yoga, etc.).
Good, clean, foreigner friendly. Up the main hill in Kyungidan across from J-Lounge/Carmen area. Phone: 795-9966 |

| Is this the place with the pool? What are the hours (for the pool, especially)? |

Yes. You can go to the Itaewon Recreation center. It has a pool and small and basic weight room. The pool hours are from 6-9am and 6-11pm Monday to Friday. 12-6 on Saturday are closed on Sunday. I believe the fee is 60,000 won per month. If you want a locker it will cost 5,000 won more per month.
It is located on the opposite site of the subway station across the bridge on the corner in Kyungidan . |

thanks for the replies. I was hoping to pay a bit less than the fees at wellbeing gym although I went to check it out and it looked pretty nice.
As for the recreation centre. Do you mean across the bridge from Noksapyeong station? |

This will sound silly, but does anyone know where to buy shorts/a bathing suit around there?
Or... what is the etiquette? I usually just swim in my longest pair of boxer shorts, which are half as revealing as the more acceptable speedo.
Also, do they require/sell swimming caps? My last pool in Korea did,,, |
