Air Canada, Korean Air and Asiana all offer direct flights to Canada. Why would you connect through the US? What airline do you fly? |

Air Canada does a direct flight but only to Vancouver....I think it's better to get the 14 hours over with in one shot!!
Korean Air is also a much better airline, so I would choose them hands down...foget about going through the U.S. it's a hassle these days |

There are LOTS of flights that do NOT go through the US.
Asiana, Korean Air, Air Canada, Singapore Air (non-stop van-seoul), Cathay via HongKong, PAL via Manila, JAL via Tokyo, ANA via Japan, EVA via Taiwan, China Air via Taiwan, Thai airways via Bangkok.
MOST of them can be cheaper than KAL, AC or Asiana and they usually offer better service as well.
My personal preferance is Singapore air from Vancouver to Seoul. |

Not true, Air Canada has a direct flight to Toronto from Seoul as well. I have it booked

The OP wants a flight FROM Canada TO Korea (not that it really makes any difference, though), but didn't mention from where. Where are you OP? THAT makes a huge difference (your location that is). |

The Seoul-Vancouver flight isn't 14 hours, it's more like 8 or 9 hours. I've been on it a few times. Not as bad as the Seoul-LA flights in the 80's and early 90's. Those were 14 to 16 hours, now it's about 12 hours. I think the Seoul-Toronto flight is closer to 14 hours. |
