| That's one of the many reasons I don't eat fast food. Subway's good, though, and healthy enough. I would eat some Taco Bell or Taco Bueno if I could get it here whereas I rarely ate it back in the US. Absense makes the heart grow fonder. Taco Bell clogs it. |

| I have to confess that sometimes I ride my bicycle 45 klicks down to the next city to have McDonalds. I'll probably do it tomorow. I know it's wrong, but Lotteria just don't cut it. |

I was surprised when I visited the Korean version of western fast food chains. The employees were happy and friendly, the hamburger buns were neither soggy nor were they and dripping with grease. Like the other poster pointed out, the presentation is much better. Best of all, they don't squish the sandwiches and put the fries in the bag upside down.  |

| I think you're right, and Lotteria would be a good substitute for Mcdonalds, except that they put cold, sweet goo in everything. |

| It really depends on the location. In Japan, UK and Australia, I'd say the presentation is pretty much acceptable. In places like China where food is just food, you're more likely to see vegetables falling over the side and stuff dripping. I find the fast food here not as good as the ones back home. |

They really need to bring some 'Mos Burger' (Japanese fast food chain) into Korea. That's gotta be the best fast food chain I've seen. Can be kind of pricey (some of the deluxe burgers, like the avocado topped one run around 1000 yen, or $10 for a combo) but the quality blows the competition out of the water, including the cheaper items on the menu. McDonald's, Burger King and Lotteria et al. don't even come close.

do you know how much prepping they do for those photo shoots? most of those materials are fake. It's advertising.
But then again, I don't think I've ever gotten a plate of food here in Korea that looked exactly like those fake food dishes they have hanging in the window. |

I think riding your bicycle that far justifies your love for McD's, but doesn't cooking something on your own beat the taste and effort of going so far? |

| I have to disagree with the Mos Burger comment. I lived in Japan for 6 years and absolutely hated Mos Burger. Highly over-rated burgers. The burgers aren't flavorful, are too tall and just plain messy. I would go to McDs before Mos Burger anyday. |

Really?? I found them flavorful and a lot fresher (they actually put real vegetables on them, unlike McDonalds), and not nearly as greasy as other places. They are kinda messy I'll grant you, because of the sauce and vegetables. But anyway, to me it just seemed fairly obvious that the quality was a step up from McDonalds (by that I just mean better ingredients, that's why it cost more).
Also, I really like the "Freshness Burger" chain in Japan too. |
