Give me a video cam, a free plane ticket to any country of your choice and an hour in an editing room and I could make any group of people look stupid.
It's such an obvious ploy, but I guess stupid people enjoy stupid humor. |

The video is no surprise given:
- Americans have an opinion on anything (more than many other cultures)
- Americans have no idea of world geography (score way below european and commonwealth countries)
- Americans are quick to speak of going to war (perhaps due to their history and sense of military strength) |

Agreed.
It is also stupid to make generalizations about a nation race religion, whatever.

The Canadian comedy show This Hour Has 22 Minutes used to go onto American campuses, especially Harvard and Yale, to interview supposedly the most knowing minds (students and profs alike) on things about Canada.
It was not hard to find absurd comments about the seal hunts on the streets of Toronto and Peter Man's Bridge from Calgary to Halifax.
The bare-faced know-it-all attitude about stuff they knew nothing about was shocking to Canadians but apparently quite typical stateside.

Nothing against Americans per se except the arrogant ones....(which is usually~ ironically~ the least intelligent individuals). |

So tell me something. You believe these videos are set up right? You believe that incidents like those wouldn't really happen in a normal situation, and that they must be set up? You believe Americans don't really make those kinds of responses to the questions asked? |

The clips were shot in at least two or three different cities. Probably more, but it's hard for me to identify them from the visual clues provided. Figure 10 hours a day of shooting. So from 30+ hours of footage they found 5 minutes worth of "stupid Americans." And from that, you can conclude that Americans are stupid. |

What the hell is your source for this? Hmmm....very strange indeed. So you disagree that a large number of people in America would offer responses like this? |

Are you really that thick?
Read huffdaddy's post on how it is done. Any moderately bright middle schooler should be able to figure that out. |

Why is it strange? I can identify San Antonio, Washington D.C., and a third city that looks like it's in Florida. From the shadows, and at least one night shot, you can tell they probably spent a fair amount of time filming.
Out of 300 millions people, I'm sure you could find plenty who would give similar responses. But the clip was obviously a misrepresentation designed to invoke laughter. If you want to draw conclusions from it, go right ahead. But that makes you about as stupid as the people you're laughing at. |

ok Ya-ta Boy. So it's just coincidence that Americans are often considered stupid and ignorant by so many societies worldwide? You can't fool us my friend. I've spent time in America and the people (not all, but too many) are exactly how we think of them in Europe.
Of course you would say that it took over 10 days and 30hrs of filming to find those idiots. Back that up with something instead of just throwing it out there. The reality is that it probably took a few hours of filming, and they probably didn't have to question many individuals to get those responses.
Watch the video again:) |

Find me a place in England that gives you a gun when you open a bank account? Yes that's right....a bank that gives you a gun on site. Somewhere in Michigan I believe.
Only in America. You idiots |
