Hello I have been trying to find out how I can get my Korean pension back but Im not having much luck. A year ago, I sent forms to the Canadian Pension office (service Canada) and I contacted them today and they said that my forms were mailed to Korea.
They also said thats the only thing they could have done with them. I mailed forms to the Korean Pension office in Seoul about 6 months ago and received odd emails from them that they were returning my forms because I cant apply for pension that way by mailing forms to them but didnt explain anything else to me. The only way I could have applied was by mail because I live in Canada now and cant go in person to the Korean office.
So, I asked the Canadian pension office today if the Korean office would contact them and they said they doubt it, so I asked well how will I know what the status of my application is and they said I would have to contact them but I wont be able to explain this situation in Korean to them and most, if not all employees at the Korean office dont speak English well enough to help me or understand the problem. So I sent an email to the embassy in seoul today but I can't see them helping me so it looks like I was screwed again by the last hogwan i worked for. So now I dont know what to do to find out how I can get my pension. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks |

Do you know anyone in Korea who can do it in person? Or be your proxy? |
