|
|
One of the reasons I decided to move to the Gunpo/Anyang area is because of all the mountains. I'm situated halfway between Gunpo and Sanbon station and have only been here for a few weeks now. Was wondering if somebody can direct me to where the hiking trails start. I know there are many in the area, but how do I get to them? Can you recommend any? Thanks! |

Surisan Woodland Park in Sanbon is great. A couple of the local buses stop at the park entrance, but I don't remember which numbers because I always walk. If you're standing between Emart and Today Mall with your back to Sanbon Station, turn left at the road that goes past Emart. Walk for about 20-30 minutes. The entrance to Surisan will be on your left. There is a big map showing the trails. Most can be done in an hour or two. PM me if you need more detailed directions. |

There are several nice trails starting around anyang art park (안양예술공원)
you can follow the signs (brown signs above main road) from anyang station about a half hour walk or about 10 minutes from gwanak station. There are lots of tracks, you can walk as far as seoul national uni. there are also temples in the hills (great for filling up on water)
http://en.anyang.hanainfo.com/D030000.jsp (doest help much)
http://wiki.galbijim.com/Anyang_Art_Park (more useful)
Also for a small walk, 1 to 2 hours try mor rak san (forgot how to write it in hangul) it is by lottemart some nice views up there
if you want photos or more details pm me
hope this helps |

To get to Suri, simply take any of the local buses (1,2,or 3) in front of the main post office in Sanbon. All three go through 12 and 13 complex which are located near the base of the mountain. Take the blue foot bridge that goes over the freeway next to Taeul Elementary to get to the trails. |

There are some extensive trail right outside my room in Anyang. I'm located on a school campus beside the mountain, not in an apartment building. I can give you directions. there are spring fountains and all. I have pics. Also very nice air. |
