Hey there - in my research on this site, I've come across what appears to be a great site and sevice to teachers. It is the EFL Law website found here: http://www.efl-law.com/
What I'm having problems with, however, is finding their "Safe Job Board" list. Does anyone know how to nagivate this site to find their list that they speak of? Here's the quote from their site:
"Safe Jobs
There are many Job Boards on the Internet where you can find a job, However, the information given by the job boards is not sufficient for you to know if you are accepting a safe legal job which means you will have wonderful sojourn, or a contract which violates Labor Laws, Tax laws, Immigration laws, to name but 3. If you accept these contracts, your problems will be substantial. At EFL-Law (Forums) we have established the only Safe Jobs Board, where you can guaranteed the job complies with the law. We will also guide you prior to signing if you need further help."

| I think it was created a long time ago, and that they decided that they couldn't offer any guareentee after all. Guess it goes to show what the situation is really like here, no such thing as a guareenteed good job. |

I think that's still a holdover from the old .org site. There hasn't been a Safe Jobs board for ages... they couldn't guarantee the jobs either. As someone else said, it tells you just how bad it is out there. |

Umm...you registered here over a year ago and just came across that site? It's been a sticky in the FAQ forum for eons. Well, I suppose the usability/info flow here has never been known to be fluid, anyway, so....
As for EFL-Law, they've moved a lot of content around over the past year after their .org was closed, so I'm not sure if the navigation and references to content are all up-to-speed. As for 'responsible' job boards, a little over a year ago, Paul, the owner of EFL-Law started a thread in the original .org forums about which job boards are substandard in accordance to trying to filter/stifle job posts that reflect some illegal caveats (illegal caveats in the watered-down job posts, but who knows if their actual contracts possessed the same.). From that list, you could get an indication of which job boards are more responsible than others. But that thread was lost in some problems that they had with the .org closure/.com re-opening.
Conclusion. A more responsible job board has not been launched. Yet. |
