Coming home to my cat.
Going for long rides on my motorcycle
Cool rain on a hot summer's day
Reading a good book while my cat is asleep, purring on my lap
The fact that..... life is just so damn interesting. |

Yeah i have a Yamaha Xpress II. I had complaints even though it's electric. The walls are thin so i got my parents to send me some brushes instead. |

Ditto on three months. But also:
-English conversation with other foreigners
-The comforting, ethereal glow of the computers in the PC bang
-Road hockey on Sundays
-Phone cards |

That's a great attitude you have...nice post. Not sure about the rain part though, especially if you live in Seoul. Nothing to great about chemical saturated rain...
Me in no specific order:
1. Exercise
2. Writing
3. New Guitar
4. Girlfriend
5. Payday
6. Computer...would have to be first as it's my all in one entertainment |

I love the rain. Hits the roof over my kitchen and taps on the awning thing over my door and makes everything relaxed. Great for reading, studying, planning and sleeping. |

1. The fact that nothing really gets me down
2. Drinking
3. Remembering that teaching is so much more fulfilling than selling mutual funds in Canada
4. coming to this site, reading some posts from people that take things way too seriously, laughing and thinking to myself "Man, I gald I'm not that up-tight".
5. Laughing at stupidity (my own included of course!) |

Number 1 has to be music. I made sure before I came here to bring as many CDs from my collection that I could. I've got 200, but I still regret not bringing some.
2. exercise: running, gym etc.
3. Guitar. If you have a particular peeve, I find writing a song with humour about it great therapy.
4. My photo collection. I love keeping memories through film. If ever I feel somewhat down I feel a look at some of the old pics cheer me up(I've got photos of all sorts of cretins from my teenage years etc)
5. The knowledge that I'm free to leave whenever I want. I know you may be 'bound to a contract' but it doesn't really mean you can't just pack your bags and go home if you really want. I mean, I actually like Korea a lot and I enjoy living here. However I think that may have something to do with the fact i have a get out clause. Maybe some people who complain2 much about living here may heed that fact. I have nothing against Korea really, and maybe I'm a little bit arrogant in saying this, but I'm really glad that I'm not a Korean living in Korea. I have fantastic memories of growing up in open space and vast areas of countryside, good friends, no competitive stress through studying in a private institute from the age of 6.....I could go on....I've enjoyed my stay here, I'm leaving later in the year to go back to grad school, so saving up those valued drinking tokens in the most safe and reassuring knowledge that I possess whenever I feel down about being here......I'm not going to be here forever. |

before someone PC comes along and quotes the "cretins" sentence, I'd like to clarify it isn't a literal statement. What I was refering to by cretins is lovable idiots that I've known through school days etc. who I still remember with great affection and the memory of them still brings a smile to my face |
