Interesting (well, fairly interesting in a nothing-better-to-do anal type of way) programme on BBC radio 4 last night about elocution. Not really that useful from an ESL teaching perspective, but I thought it might be interesting for those of you who are generally interested in the English language.

The part on elocution starts about 10-minutes into the 30-minute programme. The last 5/10-minutes is interesting/funny as well, especially if you're a Christian.

It's usually a good programme in a humourous and informative kind of way. Next weeks show sounds good as well - Do Americans care about the English Language more than we do ?

They're also running a competition at the moment called Twenty First Century Proverbs, which asks listeners to post their funny and contemporary variations of popular proverbs.
