The Seoul subway is still the deal of the century, but I've noticed two things:
1) Basic fare has gone up 100 won.
2) They've also narrowed the zones. A two zone trip is now likely a three zone trip. |

| its a bit cheaper if you use a card and a lot more convenient. overall public transport here is really very good and extremely reasonable |

the buses also went up about 300 won (the orange buses)
so from 1500-1800 |

| Short trips seem to have gone down though. Many short trips now cost me 400, where before would always cost 800 using card. |

Indeed. Although I'm looking at a 22% rise in my fare with the new zone squeezed in. But yeah, at the end of the day still pocket fluff. |
