My sister will be coming to stay with me for about 7 or 8 months soon, using my place as a base in between her travels to other countries. So, she will be in Korea a fair bit. I know that Canadians are allowed 6 months, but if that is broken up with visits to neighbouring countries, then does the tally start at the beginning again? Or is it 6 months total? Thanks for any info. |

Every time your sister enters Korea, she will get a new "tourist visa" on her passport. The tally starts anew every time she enters the country, just like with any other tourist. |

Are you asking about a tourist visa C3 or the B2 - visa waiver stamp on arrival for Canadians?
If you mean the B2, she will get a new stamp every time she re-enters Korea and the clock will start again each time. As long are you are here and have legal residential status she will have NO PROBLEM coming and going for as long as you are here.
Alternatively, if she is Canadian AND under 30 she can also apply for an H1 - working tourist visa (1 year duration).
This will allow here to work in at summer camps, etc. to LEGALLY suppliment her finances during her extended visit. I believe she CAN get re-entry privilages on an H1 so she can also travel to neignboring countries as well.
