I have a vacation comming up at the end of May and plan on flying into Tibet for about a week and then heading to Beijing for four days before heading back to Seoul.

I think my trip will go something like this:

Seoul - Chengdu(necessary stop city to fly into Tibet) - Lhasa - Beijing - Lhasa.

I'm aware that I can take a train to Beijing from Lhasa, but I just don't want to spend two days on one.

With that said, to anybody who's been to Tibet, what kind of tips could you offer me?

Is it difficult finding hotels to stay at?

Is altitude sickness a concern?

How's the food?

Do I need a seperate visa to travel into Tibet?

How easy is it to take day trips out of Lhasa?

What is there to see and do in and around Lhasa?

thanks
