So enough about the korean female with white male.
I'm wondering about girls' experiences with dating korean men.
I'm dating a Korean man and have been for 3 years. Actually we met in Canada and I will be moving to Korea to be with him in one month. I'm just wondering about people's experiences, good and bad.
I've had mostly good experiences, they tend to be very polite, caring, they take care of me, the only down side is he seems to have a short temper and jealous, and he loooves to drink.
Funny stories, dramas, anyone? |

Hahaha it sounds worse than it is.
I shouldn't be bringing more negativity into these forums, I've searched them for hours and though they are entertaining I haven't come across many positive things about Korea. |

I dated a Korean guy for about 4 months.
He was a pretty cool guy. We got along well but the relationship didn't last for two reasons. One, language barrier. Two, he kept on talking about marriage. :S I guess at 27 he was feeling the pressure. We broke up and 2 months later he was engaged to a Korean girl. |

Korean guy with a white woman. I've heard about it and seen it in movies but I thought it was a myth. Something akin to the Lochness Monster or Bigfoot.
I'm a gyopo and I don't have a preference. I'll propose to any girl that loves Korean food, Football (the REAL American kind), and Beer. |

I fully support white women dating Korean guys. If I'm going to steal one of "their" women, I'd like to leave one of "my" own. Take a penny, leave a penny. |

Ok,
I've been married to a Korean man before...it lasted 4 years...
I would say that a Korean guy, speaking from my experience only, is super jealous and untrusting. Now I don't know if thats something thats common to Korean guys or just my ex.
And before anyone gets in my face and says "you can't generalize all korean men by just one bad experience" I can say that until any of you non-korean guys are married to a korean guy, keep your mouths shut.
I have seen enough white girl bashing/korean women admiration on this site. Its all about generalities here , so I'll say what I know ...
would I ever date or marry another Korean guy ? perhaps, but he would have had to be raised from childhood in a western country. The cultural differences always crept up on us, even though we were both educated in Canada.
on a more positive note, my ex was very handsome and worked very hard (when he worked). |

I like the way you think. Now, please start debunking the whole stereotype with Asian guys and their small....you know. |

It's not a stereotype dude. There are plenty of white dudes with tiny ones, but in general the Asians have the short end of the stick.
I know this from what I've seen in saunas, and from observations made by my gay and female friends here.
That's just the way it is. However, there has to be exceptions to every rule. But size does matter (but probably more for the guys and their egos). |

I dated a Korean guy once. He always wanted to carry my purse, open doors for me, pay for dinner, call me 100 times a day ect... BUT he was jealous, over-bearing, smothering, and over dramatic (see my post in 100 days marriage proposals). Also, I often felt I was his trophy girlfriend; he'd insist on holding my hand, and always tried to kiss me at intersections in full view of everyone around. PDA's are pretty uncommon among Korean-Korean couples (at least in my neck of the woods).
That said...he was one Korean guy. I would definetly date another Korean guy. But I think I'd prefer to date a Korean man who spent a significant amount of time abroad. At least then he may have a better idea of where I'm coming from. And I suppose I could be more open-minded about where he's coming from.
An aside curiosity:
I wonder if (some) Korean guys think that western girls are "easy". |

Yeah the things that you mentioned on the downside are fairly common with the Korean males here. Imagine if he is that way now living abroad how he is going to be on his own turf. Good luck with that. |

Maybe in your town. Nowadays in Seoul in cool areas with young people PDS is pretty common at night time when people go out. Or in bars/clubs. |

Ya, but not at all in random street corners during the day. |

That also depends where you go and who the people are. Also with interracial couples PDA is normal. |
