I ordered this bike two weeks ago. It is in new condition. I have decided that I need to take a trip before my new contract starts in June to keep my sanity. Unfortunately, this vacation will be unpaid time. This is a great mid to high level bike. Here are links to where I bought the bike (with price paid), and the specs of it. I have photos of the actual bike upon request. I will entertain offers, but will ignore low-ballers. Ask any questions. I know a lot about mtb's, as I raced in college.

I will include the light, barends, lock, and upgraded pedals. Thanks for looking!

I own a Scale 40, though from 2005. I actually rode this bike across Canada last year as well. Worked well, but would do it on a touri
ng bike next time. The Scott is a great bike, but from what I know about bikes, that their resale value is less than poor. Would be lucky to get 1 million, likely less...
I suggest you either take what you can get, or hold on to it(my recomendation)
good luck.
don't be pissed, I would recommend this bike to anyone!

buy it!!

I appreciate the endorsement on the Scale 40 being a good bike and recommending it to prospective buyers. I know more about mtb's than most people do as well (I have owned at least 20 different mtb's over the last 15 years). The fact is that this is a brand new 2007 bike with 2007 components. The fork on this bike sells for around 1 million won alone in Korea. Bikes are simply more expensive here than they would be at home.

I forgot to mention that the frame is 17" from the center of bottom bracket to the top of the seat tube. The geometry of the bike is a bit exaggerated due to a steep sloping top tube. The fork has 100mm of travel creating a little more front end rise as well. I think this is an ideal size frame for someone between 5'8" and 6'0". If anyone has more specific questions, don't hesitate to ask. I will answer in a timely fashion.
