There is a hairdressing wholesale section at Namdaemun market. It's not the easiest to find, but if you ask at the info booth they can usually help you. It's also labeled on the english version map if they don't know where it is. They have bleaches, colors, and peroxides.
I wouldn't suggest going to a hairdresser here as they often don't have a strong enough peroxide. Your hair will probably turn orange, depending on how dark it is. Most of the kits at the pharmacy are probably not strong/light enough either.
Namdaemun would be your best bet. I may be going in the next few weeks (gotta stock up on Captain Morgan's spiced rum for christmas!!!) so PM me. |

Just do a search on ebay, I've bought lots of stuff (including hair dye) and it's not ridiculously expensive (I bought hair colour for about 5.00 including postage). |

I have blonde hair and I use FERIA (korean) brown hair dye. It turns my hair a nice shade of blonde (not brown).
BE CAREFUL!! Do not buy korean blonde hair dye...the result will not be what you want. |

I'd use a 40 creme developer and kaleidoscope beige neutral bleach packet from Sally's. Do they even have a Sally's Beauty Supply in Korea? I've already bought some developer and dye but I wonder if they'd let me take it on the plane.
I'm also worried I might be required to dye my hair brown instead of leaving it blonde because I'm Asian. Will they really think I'm a hooker for being an Asian blonde? My brother is in Korea and he strongly recommend I go black. I'm not too crazy about black hair though , it only looks good straight and too typical. |
