anyone been?
any recommendations?
i have a friend from back home thinking of making the trip, and wondered if its viable that we join her - is it basically just a beach resort?
is it accessible from SK?
any info greatly appreciated.

i went there from Beijing in 2004. it's full of chinese group tourists. bleah.

i stayed at the marriott, i think. it was a bday present to myself, so i stayed at a really nice place. it had a private beach, away from the assclown tourists and obnoxious pearl sellers that JUST WON'T LEAVE YOU ALONE.

i think it's over-rated. sure, it's china's hawaii, but what kind of claim to fame is that?
