My wife and I are looking to teach Kindy again in Bundang. So, all y'all out there, recommend to us a great hogwan to apply to. Requirements:
--lots of foreign staff.
--in Bundang
--kindy
--"normal" 9 to 5 hours
--can't start until July 16th
--great director/owner
--supportive Korean staff
--good pay
--fun place!

Don't worry about us - we know that you get out what you put it. We're great people, nice, friendly, hard-working, willing to do lesson plans, etc. etc. and we love kids.

So, I know you're out there, you other teachers; and I know you're out, you great places to work. So let us know! Post, or PM. Muchas!

Hold the phone - not to be a troll or anything, but if you're married, why the hell are you posting questions about young pretty girls in massage shops in another thread?

You're being a troll. Not that it's your business in the least, but I have some buddies that will be visiting, and I'm supposed to find out. I mentioned to them I visited some a long time ago, but they weren't that great. I'm supposed to find the "great".

Now, can we stick to THIS post please, and finding good schools? Thank you.

Have you tried looking through WorknPlay or Footprints Recruiting job boards? They have been recommended in a few other threads related to teaching children.

Yes, I have. As well as Rowan Hall at ESL Planet, Duff Recruiting, KorVia, Park English, ATC, Kim n Joe, and a few other recruiters as well. From everything I've read and reserached, these are the cream of the crop as far as recruiters go. Which is fine, I'm glad for that - but - I'm not applying to work as a recruiter. Smile

This particular post is for specific hagwons, that anyone is currently at, or was at, that was above average; dare I say, extremely good. I'm looking for specific suggestions or recommendations. Thanks to the previous poster of "Best Kids" and "Worwick" - those are specific, and I'll keep those in mind.

Anyone else?

Good luck, you'll need it.

People with "great" jobs won't go around telling you where they are. The general way it works is you do your research as best you can. You find a job that's "acceptable". You do your time. You make contacts. If you're good, after 1-2 contracts, you will be in a position, if you're good, to land a great position.

I think the problem with people recommending schools to 'strangers' is they don't know anything about the person they're recommending the school to. I would be hesitant to post that there's a job opening at my school because I would feel responsible if we ended up hiring someone that did a runner or was just a bad teacher. Even if I didn't have anything to do with the hiring process, I would still feel like it was because of me that such-and-such person found the job.

Also, what's "extremely good" for one person isn't for another. I have no problems with my school or any of the staff, managers, or korean teachers. Yet the other two foreigners complain about a lot of stuff. Are they just pessimists? Am I just in my honeymoon period? There's no one to know how anyone will react to a particular situation.
