okay, so here's the deal! i've been downloading massive amounts of tv shows, cartoons, movies and other goodies. my question is whether or not i will get in trouble if i tried to bring all of my DVD's through customs? what do you think? should i mail it to myself, or should i just put it in my checked bagage? |

I brought a ton of DVD's with me a couple of years ago and there was no issue at all. But it sounds like you're talking copied discs, and mine were all legit, so I can't be sure. Still, I don't see why it'd be a problem. Maybe, if they ask, you can say they're backups you made of ones you own. |

I sent hundreds of copied DVD's home in the mail. Just labled them 'books'. No problems. |

Probably the safest way would be to leave them on the hard drive and just bring that through customs,. |

I took about 150 DVDs home in a cd carry case no problem. I just put it in my checkin luggage. They didn't even look
If you are american can't you just say that you have the original back in korea, that you did not want to risk your DVD collection on your "two month holiday". By the way yhat excuse does not work for NZ or australia as no copying is allowed at all, even backups. Generally customs tend to be more worried about fruit and animals or bombs
had another 600GB of tv and movies on my hard drive but it is not like they are going to plug your computer on to check (unless you look like Gary Glitter) |

If they're anything like the USA, they're far more concerned about what's going out than coming in on a DVD. Besides, they don't have time to check them all. It has no moving parts that could conceal a bomb or something. |
