Its been tooooo long for me in Seoul..Do any of you good folk have any advice on decent 'getaways' spots??
Im looking for quiet weekend retreat type destinations..not to far from Seoul. A bit of countryside required, maybe a river..(well any running water actually) reasonably priced accomadation..
Would appreciate any info..travel directions, travel/accomadation prices etc

And please bring great supply of DEET-fortified mosquito repellant.
Yes, even this early in the year. If there are mosquitos in N. Seoul, you can expect those islets to be as comfy as the Hanoi Hilton. |

East Sea is nice, four hour bus from Seoul if that's not too far--Gangneum or Sokcho are both good. Beaches are empty this time of year. It's a very blue and clean bit of water, and you can get a cheap-ish yogwon on the beach and fall asleep listening to the surf. |
