FaceBook
MySpace
Bebo
Orkut
etc.

Do you feel that you've got a 'balance' on it or do you get excited each time you get a message in your inbox relating to the site?

Personally I belong to two of these sites and find myself checking it often and browsing whenever I can.

I haven't quite reached the addiction stage (I think!) where I am constantly sat browsing and it takes over my life...LOL

But I do think it can be distractive if not higly entertaining.

Your thoughts?

Yeah, know what you mean.

I put the amount of time I spend (insert the word waste if you like) online down to my current situation. I only work two days a week and, TESOL studies aside, I've a lot of free time, time I invariable spend on here or other forum based sites. I live in a very rural isolated part of Cornwall, UK as well at the moment, so it's not like I can step out the door and find exciting things to do, although I'm sure I could if only I could be bothered to get off my ass.

I reckon I spend about anywhere North of about 35+ hours a week online split between here,
discogs
GammonEmpire
ebay
amazon
Juno and other assorted music download sites.

Sad I know, but hopefully things will be different once I head East.

I feel like i spend a LOT of time on myspace (i am on there a lot), but honestly, it's just a way to keep in touch with my friends back home. They're all on it, my roommate from college and I created a private message board, etc. It's great.

...I find since coming to Korea I spend WAY (way, way) more time on the internet than I did when I was back home. (i.e. it is 0550 a. as I write this). Mostly it is a way of keeping in touch with friends. Still, between Facebook, Myspace, Mog, Blogger, Youtube, Dave's, + various news websites I manage to waste over three hours per day online. As the time to go home draws closer I will hopefully be doing this less.

I check myspace like everyday literally. It's so cool browsing through your high school college people. And like, omg this person looks so different now or they went from thin to extremely big or big to very thin. I found my friend in middle school. It's so crazy to someone you thought you'd never be able to find again and see how they've grown and how they are now.
