Right now, as I type this, 12 of the 14 top topics on CE are about America. Of the other two, one is about an American (S.H.) and the other beer.

Hows that for balance!

If you feel such an injustice is being done, maybe you should lobby Dave for an "affirmative" action thread policy?

And then, if someone posts topics about other countries, people start threads like "Has XXXX lost his mind?"

Chinese artificial snowfall (That one was mine)
UK boycott of Israel (mine too)
Sudan (I posted about that one)
Chavez banning alcohol (It has been a while sinice I've slammed uncle Hugo.. I'll have to get on that) -That was mine, too]
N.Ireland (I mainly post about Ireland and the North)

How does the pie taste?

I think there are a variety of threads on besides about the U.S.
There is about Somalia, Iran, Saudi Arabia (Porn), Israel,
one about beer as you said, one about China and a women's town, Richard Gere and that dumb kiss where he forgot about the customs there, making Buddhism the official religion in Thailand and the insurgency etc.... Most people here are from North America, so they are not going to focus as much on Africa or East Asia as they should, and if someone is going to claim someone slamming Bush is being anti-American that is ridiculous. A certain government isn't America per se.
We also had the threads about crazy British soccer fans. I think the forum has better variety than it did before. How about giving credit where credit is due? I think Gopher has also been pitching in with variety.

Thank you. It really is possible to loathe that f***king moron in the White House and all his cronies and still love America. To the same extent that it's possible to believe radical Islam is the current major threat to the world, and still think that the Bush, et al, plan to meet that threat is idiotic.

If there are more anti-US threads going than meets someone's comfort level, in a time when the US, as a matter of national policy, is behaving in ways that present a clear impediment to the resolution of global conflicts, that seems to me to be a clear symptom of the aggregate health of humanity, even if some of those threads go over the top or are just a matter of knee jerk reaction to someone the posters believe to be all wrong, all the time. As many of the threads in defense of GWB's inanities go over the top, in defense of his being all right, all the time.

The greater number of anti-US threads on this board is merely a reflection of the fact that official US policy these days is not, for the most part, logically or ethically supportable.
