Great apartments are not the norm. Do not expect to get a great apartment in paradise.

Not to keep responding to your posts, but you have so many. If you're from nyc (i moved here from there myself) and not like syracuse or something, you should be happy you get your own place, and it's free!

Plus, small towns=(often) better apts
big cities= (usually) smaller apartments, but maybe more of what you're after, life-wise.

The apartment isn't everything, and it won't be amazing. Just makes sure it isn't awful. But certainly don't take a shared place, even if it is huge and overlooks the beach. Lot of freaks here, and you don't want to end up sharing a bathroom with one of them.

I'm from rural NY. I always live alone. I am into clean air...and hate the city, but I think I'd be terribly isolated / ostricised in rural korea....what to do...
