I don't, but I get off the 7th, 15th and 24th. The 24th is Budda's bd so everyone should have it off. The 7th is teacher's day and the 15th is some kind of inservice day.

Other way round.... 15th is teachers day and the 7th is an "in service" day (not that it really matters... we get them both off anyway) along with Budda's birthday.)

Its international Labor Day. Used to be a huge holiday in the communist world, when that existed

Yeah...I think your right...all I know is I don't have to work. I only thought I'd have one extra day off this month. So I was pretty happy to find out we had two extra days. I'm in my last month before going home, so the timing couldn't be better. Twenty more days of work....

Did we have this day off last year?? I don't remember getting a day off this early in May or for that reason. Never heard of this holiday...

But since we've been screwed over on holidays I'm gonna have to say thanks to the Commies Laughing

What a fantastic day! I don't have to tape for the TV show tonight and I don't have to work tomorrow. Lucky me!

But not everyone's getting the day off...weird...

I called up my friend who works at a semi-private high school and she has class.

I have the day off but my co-teacher has to go to work. There are no students and no classes.....Strangee Confused

I'm pretty sure I have to go to work tomorrow at my middle school. I think they have their mid-terms, however, so I may not have to actually take any lessons...

Last year, Childrens Day/Buddhas b'day were on a Friday (May 5). This we get Buddhas B'day on a Thurs but not Childrens Day.

Oh well
