(Hat tip to this thread.)

What's the worst movie you've ever seen? I think that, for me, off the top of my head, it's "Iron Warrior."

You can read a review here.

Quote:
In the film O'Keeffe reprises his most (in)famous role of Ator the barbarian. The film opens with Ator as a child playing with his twin brother tossing a severed human head back and forth in that playful way children throw severed human heads. Ator's brother is kidnapped providing us with a cheesy set up for the film. Then the movie goes into its first of many "homages" to past films. The evil witch who kidnapped Ator's brother is judged by several talking heads with one actual person while standing in the middle of a spinning hula-hoop. She is banished into the "neverwhere" because presumably the director decided that "phantom zone" would get them sued.

[ ... ]

Even if you're a huge fan of fantasy, and loved movies like "Lord of the Rings," or even "Conan the Barbarian," this movie will be an excruciating waste of time.

You have been warned!

The first response to come to mind was Basic Instinct 2, but after seeing Jamie Kennedy in The Mask 2 yesterday I'd say that Sharon Stone's perfomance was Oscar contention compared to Mr. Kennedy.

For me it has to be Waiting... although I mentioned it in that other thread. It was so bad and so unfunny that my friend and I actually watched all the special features to figure out how such a god awful movie was ever made. It didn't shed any light on the matter. My friend thought it would be good because Dane Cook was in it and had been recommended by his younger sister. That's the problem with a world that revolves around marketing to 12-14 year old girls.

Around the World in 80 Days with Jackie Chan was also terrible but I was willing to let that one go since it was obviously made for kids. Ruined me on the whole DVD bang thing though. First and only time.

Mission to Mars.

It had an okay cast but the movie itself was absolute dreck.

Tough question, and one that would elicit a variety of responses, depending upon my mood, sobriety, etc. At the same time, there are, certainly, some movies that I could easily categorize as terrible, if not a viable candidate for the worst movie I have ever seen.

In the spirit of things, I'm going to throw out -of my memory, if possible- Howard the Duck.

1) I understand that Willard Huyck has had his hits and misses, but this was inexcusable.

2) You know, they spent roughly two million dollars on that goddamn duck suit, and it still looks like midget in a suit.

3) I'd rather consume a collection of used condoms than watch that film again. Furthermore, I should, arguably, ingest said condoms as penitence for having viewed the film in a theater. (I shall refrain from doing so, but only because I'm far too lethargic to actually go out and collect the aforementioned prophylactics.)

Speaking of condoms, here is another contender worthy of mention.

I watch a lot of MST3k so do you want the real answer or the fair answer? Fair answer: the Avengers remake. Real answer: Hands of Manos.

Cecil B. Demented, the John Waters movie, was the worst thing I've ever seen in my life. A close number 2 is Little Nicky. Ughh...

The Transporter. Plot? Realism? I wanted to laugh, but knowing that people are meant to be taking it seriously made me prefer to just leave.

No offence but those are pretty weak choices unless you have something against science fiction. Starship Troopers, Armageddon, and Demolition Man are all middle-of-the-road movies, and hardly fail to please most non-demanding movie fans. Back to the Future was a brilliant trilogy written very cleverly. Air Force One, Con Air, and Mars Attacks may not be good, but if they're the worst you've seen then you're in pretty good shape for avoiding bad movies.
