Ok, so I remember a story about how a bear (black?) escaped from a Choongnam bear "farm" some time back.
Well, the local Monkeys thought the bear would be dangerous (ok, it's a wildish animal) so they wanted to capture it (of course). How do they go about doing this...well, just on the news (KBS?) they hear about its presence on a golf course and INSTEAD of tranquilizers they bring out what looked to be a shotgun and killed the little guy.
Fucking monkeys.
!shoosh,

And no...I've no links...was listening to the news while on the 'puter. <stepping off of high horse and/or soapbox> |

great life for the bear. 15 years in a tiny cage with a tube siphoning off its gall bladder. Finally it gets out and they shoot it.
With the sheer pandemonium koreans exhibit around flies and bees, its hardly surprising they brought in the army for a bear.
Amazing to think that Tigers and bears were once common in korea- and for the overwhelming most part lived OK alongside people . Its a shame koreans basically extinguished their natural heritage. |
