|
|
I am flying out from the U.K. to South Korea.
I've been told it is a 16 hour journey.
I intend to take an anti-sickness tablet.
Would you recommend that or a sleeping tablet?
I've been on an 8 hour plane ride before and that was quite boring. |

Thank you Scouse for the advice.
Thank you for your welcome Miss Seoul. I will probably fly out late next week.
It's a pity star trek-type travel hasn't been invented yet. The shimering hologram visual and then 5 seconds later you've arrived at your destination.
Technology is so advanced nowadays, my eye! |

| I couldn't sleep at all on the flight to Korea. My fiancee took about three or four different naps but I just couldn't fall asleep, even though I did not sleep the previous night. I HATED not being able to sleep. I know now that on the return flight I am going to sedate myself as much as possible! So my advice, take some sleeping pills and if it seems like you aren't going to be able to knock out, drug up! |

WTF I flew from Dallas to Seoul on KAL. Straight through in 13 hours. What did you do go through Atlanta, Chicago and then Toronto or something?

| not sure if they sell gravol in the UK, but it's sold as an anti nauseant in Canada, and it also functions as a sleeping pill. What I'd recommend is melatonin to help you adjust to jet lag more than anything. There's a lot to absorb in the first few days after moving to a new country and the more alert you are the better. |

| Just remember with the new regs, you're technically not allowed to bring non-prescription meds on a plane... Good luck, and happy napping~ |

16 hours?
Are you flying direct? London - Seoul? That should be no more than 11 hours. Less if they get in the jetstream.
Drink alcohol if you don't want to stay awake the whole time. It always works for me. |

Avoid alcohol and caffine 24 hours before your flight, which will help with sleep and jetlag. If you can try to get in the afternoon or early evening and then stay up until your regular bedtime.
I usually just take an over the counter sleeping aid to help me sleep a couple hours on the flight. It's about 11 hours from Seoul to SF. It's tough for me to be cooped up in a plane for that long. I am leaving in a month and looking forward to going home. |

Don't believe Miss Seoul's lies. Ever.
If you are going to get baked before the flight, make sure you take care of the smell and your red eyes unless you want to take a chance be searched, questioned by over-zealous security.
I didn't sleep before the flight, I took sleeping pills, drank wine on the plane and I couldn't sleep. The movies and personal TV on Korean Air saved me from complete boredom. |

Me too.
I guess MissSeoul found another airline pilot and did a quick stop over in Hawaii. |

| I wasn't able to sleep at all on the flight. But the guy next to me sure did. He was a HUGE black guy with horrible BO who slept the entire trip except for meals. Didn't get up once to go to the toilet either. Worst of all he kept shifting in his sleep, trying to lean his leg, arm, or head against me. |
