Call the Vietnamese embassy and the guy will send you an email with 3 documents attached. Fill out the visa request and either take it in or mail it (including passport, photos, application and fee). They can return it to you via mail COD or you can pick it up. Or, you can just go to their website:

Go in person to the Vietnamese embassy (check website
for map and print it out) The traliers in front of the Ambassadors
house are where you do the transaction. Get a form, fill it out,
give the offical one photo. The offical will ask you, or you
tell him, same as Korea
"Will that be single or multiple entry visa?"
The prices are in Korean Won.
Single Entry is W 85,000
Multiple Entry is W 108,000
The average visa for tourists is 30 days, but print
the specific dates of arrival and departure on the form.
Wait 3 business days then go back in person, pick up
your passport, check it for the stamp, then pay the man!
Can it be more simpler?

If you don't live near the Vietnamese Embassy, here's what I did last year.
1. Booked a flight with a travel agency.
2. Travel agent took my passport, photo, money etc to take care of the Visa.
3. A few days later, picked up my passport w/ the Visa stamped.
This way you're certain your passport won't get lost in the mail. It cost me about 80,000 W (I think for 30 days). How much it will be depending on if it's Multiple or Single entry and the length of your stay. BTW, I'm Canadian. |
