I can't access the page at all. But if I use a proxy, it all shows up. Suspicious. |

no problem.
If you need youtube for your classes it's best to download the videos and then show them with vlc player or your favorite flash player.
use http://vixy.net to download from youtube or google video. |

I just used YouTube today. I watched Home Improvement in one of my classes. Talk about a blast from the past. |

If you are trying to access it from your school, you may have the same problem I do at mine. The net nanny software that we use blocks youtube, but since google video stores all their stuff, you can go there and look for the GV version which usually is not. Also check out dailymotion.com |

Youtube isn't blocked in all of Korea, but some schools do get it blocked by "security" people. It happened at my school last week. I had planned to show my first graders a video of cookie monster pronouncing "food" phonetically. A thing came up (in Korean) saying that the website had been blocked because it has bad material on it. (That was translated to me from the first grade homeroom teacher). I told her that I use this site to find videos and stuff to show the kids, so she phoned the number that was on the screen. Gave them her name, and the school's name and number, and said that the foreign teacher uses the site to find appropriate videos for the children's lessons. Two mintues later, the site was up and working again, and I haven't had a problem since. If this was at work, and you don't speak Korean, perhaps you could get someone to phone for you? |

In the thread about Wikipedia somone posted a proxy server in the event your public school has banned the site. It works for YouTube as well. |
