Hi.
My school has blocked lots of my most frequented websites, wikipedia being one of them.
I found a proxy wiki site a few months ago on the China board, but cannot find the post now.
Do you have a link to a / the proxy wiki site...?
I'd really appreciate it if you could pm it to me or post it in this thread.
I'm not that internet / computer savvy to be honest, so not sure how to find one by myself...

I never asked to be patronsied.
I don't have time.
Here's some advice 4 U crazyarsegames.
1. Read the post.
2. Decide if you can do what the poster is asking.
3. Either ignore request (not giving in to the temptation to 'advise' or 'educate' or in any other way provide irrelevant info the poster was not requesting) or carry out the request.
4. P*ss Off.
Seriously, anyone got a link to the proxy wiki site...?

Aha! I found a proxy site that lets me into wikipedia
For anyone else (possibly those working at public schools like me) interested in accessing blocked sites, here's the link

Thanks for posting that Venus...my public school has blocked that one as well as You Tube. If anyone finds a way around the block on You Tube please let me know.

Yeah..there's always one smart *** in the group isn't there.
For Wikipedia it didn't really work that well. Sometimes I like to edit articles as I've been active on that site for awhile. I guess it's better then nothing, at least I can read it. |
