I posted a topic last week asking people over 30 about their experiences and what led them to teach overseas. The responses were great. I was thinking that maybe we could start a meetup group, maybe a once a week thing and also start some kind of website or blog to facilitate the whole thing. To avert any accusations of reverse ageism, in my experience I am a completely different person than when I was in my 20's, so sometimes it is nice to relate to people who are in similar phases in life.

Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am pretty new to Korea so I really don't know much in the way of possible venues. I was thinking maybe a combination of outings such as dinner, drinks, hiking, weekend excursions, etc.

i think there already is an over30 group... or is it the over 40 group? I think they have a yahoo group and announce there meet ups here on daves. i'll try to find it... im 31 myself.
