Hi all-

I'll be living in Sangdo-dong in the summer. I guess it's near Sillim-dong. Anyone know anything about that area, or anyone live there? Good restaurants? Hang-out places? (I'm not a big nightlife person, but a few options would be nice).

I'll be commuting to Sogang every day, and I guess I can take bus #145 straight there.

I'll be commuting between Sogang and SNU every day for about two weeks, which will be the bigger pain in the butt. Any idea how long that will take? I'm guessing subway is the best for that?

Thanks!

it's not exactly the hippest place to be in seoul

but...

there should be a lot of buses that go to Noryangjin. There's a good amount of restaurants, coffee shops, and drinking establishments...oh and really good and cheap street food

Thanks! That's okay, I don't really need hip...I lived in Shinchon last time and tired of the drunk college kids quickly. I prefer something quieter and more laid back.

Anyone else on impressions/experiences of Sangdo-dong? (I'll be living with someone in a house, and even if the neighborhood's not cool, that living situation beats a hasuk or goshiwon in a more cool part of the city).
