Okay, here's one:
I live in a college town, so I meet a lot of youngsters whose ears perk up when I tell them about my Korean ESL experience. In fact, I've already advised like two separate couples on getting jobs, and they both seem pretty happy with their situations. Also, i continue to train martial arts (see avatar) and meet a lot of people there with interest in all things Asia (poseurs).
Anyway, I'm kind of tired of giving away my expertise/minimal connnections for free (greedy bastard), and while I've got a full-time job and am not trying to become a recruiter, what I'm wondering is if I refer these people I meet to a recruiter, could I get some kind of finder's fee or referral fee? I had a buddy who used to recruit, but he's no longer in his position. Anybody else skulking around and want a few leads pointed in their direction? PM me, i'll check and see if there's any action on this over the next few days. Thanks for any tips from non-recruiters as well. Be well over there, still miss the city. Sometimes. |
