Lost world warning from North Sea
Formation of the Channel; cycles of migration.
Due to my loooong interest in earthquakes and plate tectonics, it dawned on me long ago that much of our history from 10 - 40k years ago is under the oceans. Looking at the continental shelves and such it was obvious much of our history must be buried there. Humans have pretty much always gone where the water was. We have settled along coastlines and rivers and, especially, at confluences.
It's nice to see research targeting this storehouse. Particularly, we would learn much about the migration of humans about the globe, particularly in the Americas, if this info could be uncovered.
Some examples: The submerging of Alexandria (partly due to earthquake-related subsidence.); settlements found in the Black Sea by Ballard; temples off the coast of India.
The area named by some Beringia, where the Bering Strait is now, would likely be a powerful source of info on migration into the Americas, as well as almost the entire West Coast. The East Coast seems to have deeper shelf, but I could be wrong. However, sea levels were up to 300 feet lower, so... |

Over the past two centuries researchers have found bones and artifacts showing that people like ourselves existed on earth millions of years ago. But the scientific establishment has ignored these remarkable facts because they contradict the dominant views of human origins and antiquity
Cremo and Thompson challenge us to rethink our understanding of human origins, identity, and destiny. Forbidden Archeology takes on one of the most fundamental components of the modern scientific world view, and invites us to take a courageous first step towards a new perspective.
