Are they offering a painless way out - sleeping pills or gas?

Or are they asking you to be eaten alive by a million fire ants?

There is a Labour Board in every region. Give them a call on 1350 and tell them about your problem.

"After you get through to 1350, press 7 for English and 8 for Chinese. Then you will be connected to a counselor who provides service in each language"

Phone counseling service is available from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 to 18:00.

Is this the same school that you shouted at teachers in and were generally rude to them and really came across as sounding rather unhappy with the place.

Can you get another job easily enough if you leave? Can you not transfer to another school? Why do they need another foreign teacher if they have you already.

Is it a case of burnt bridges?

Point being.

Have you been trying to get fired?

Is this what you wanted?

I've followed your rants and raves. Sounded like they are offering you a way out. Maybe not by the book but it's allowing you to get out of a situation which you aren't happy in.

If I'm wrong then flame away.

If you hold out for the sixty days will it take you up to the hiring time for the next academic year and a new school?

They haven't fired you. They are asking you to resign effective immediately.

Odds are they will fire you if you don't resign but it looks better for them if you resign.

So, I'm sitting here not doing much of anything. Three girls come in (I'd say 5th graders) to make trouble. So, I tell them to go. They walk out my classroom, and I here one of them say "Phuck you". Now, being a native speaker, and a genuine practioner of those two words (not to the students), I know what those words sound like. There is no mistake.

I went outside the room, and asked, and they did the "what? Oh, no" game. I took them to see a couple of korean teachers, hoping someone would help me out (Not teachers I work with). Nothing was done. Nobody gave an apology...nadda. They lied their asses off, and that was that.

So, when this happened....................well...................after the girls left, and I noticed that nobody was doing anything about it, I went in the teachers room and pretty much told them what I think of their country.

.....can't wait to leave.

Probably............seeing as how I said, "I should have gone to Japan instead".

I did......

Oh, and before a certain someone decides to go back, search my past postings, and use one or two as ammunition.....................NO. This is not the first time I have "spoke my mind" with to a Korean teacher. In fact, I have more patience with Korean kids then I do with the korean adults...............

......isn't it time for Korea to get invaded and conquered again?

Just a refresher from one thread.

What is your problem? You do a very good impression of an apologist, but now I'm wondering if you are a Korean.

No, I was not trying to get fired...................I was trying to do my job. I don't know what situation you are in, but when I try to work, and I try to teach. When a school/co-teachers don't help, do their job, or communicate imporatant information, it tends to eat away......not the first time..........but over the course of four years.

so, if you dont' have anything to say that can provide a link to my update..........then shut up.......please.........

It appears that you made it perfectly clear to your school that you don't want to be there.

So do you want to be there or not?

Do you not want to leave ASAP? When is payday - the end of the month? Try to compromise on that. Tell them that you need time to sort your things out and will leave your job on 31 May if they wish. Add that if they don't want you to teach your classes until then, you won't.

Is there a gross misconduct clause in there? Insulting their country or anything like that? Can they use that against you?

I'm sure it is in the contract........I dont care about that right now. If they want to fire me based on that (provoked by them), that is ok. But, I want them to honor the contract.
