Mao Asada has triple axel, whereas Kim doesn't. Mao has great skate legs that carry her through the entire long program (She does triple-double-double combination at 30 seconds before the end of the program). She beats Kim in every aspects of skating, especially in terms of the height of and quality to jumps. Kim is just no comparison to Asada.

Yeah, but Korea was overall far superior than Japan at speed skating in the last Winter olympics, and won much more medals in those olympics overall too.

Kim trains and lives in Toronto now. Brian Orser is one of her coaches.
