I was looking for some advice. Right now I am pretty sick. I have a mild form of tonsilitis. Anyways I took one day off as I was really tired and could hardley speak. I looked at my contract and I saw nothing in the way of sick days but I saw a clause that said I had up to 5 paid days emergency leave in the case a family member was seriously sick. Also in my contract I'm suppossed to be given 15 vacation days (not including public holidays) I have so far not even recieved half of these vacation days. If my boss tries to deduct pay for me taking a sick day would it be appropriate to bring this up. I so far haven't taken any sick days or asked for a vacation. Thanks |

| Doesn't matter where he or she works. Employees are entitled to a minimum number of sick days. They might require a doctors note or something though. |
