Wow. Just wow. Best 25,000 won I've ever spent.

I've been outputting my HTPC sound via 2 channel y-cable into my reciever for ... well .. for ever!

Today I bought a 25,000 won Audiotrack soubd card. It's based on the VIA Envy24 chipset (48,000 output) - optical out. I set it all up, configured my AC3filter, and .. WOW.

Downloaded movies sound fantastic. So now I have my HDTV goodness and the sound to go along with it too.

If you're still running 2 channel analogue sound, do yourself a favor - get one of these sound cards and an audio system capable of optical in and at least 5.1 out.

(I know, I know .. welcome to 2005!)
