My wife and I are heading to Seoul on the weekend. We don't get there very often. We are wondering if someone can reccomend a motel, inexpensive(60-70,000 if possible) but nice and clean.

We plan on going to Namdaemun and Itaewon while we are there (to give an idea of location.)

Directions and Subway exit would be very helpful.

Thanks.

The nicest place (motel wise) I've stayed in is E'Zen in the Sinchon area.

Exit 4, Sinchon station (NW #2 line, near Hongdae, NOT Sincheon) towards Ewha Uni Station. As soon as you pass the Starbucks and Outback, keep an eye out for a Starlight Cafe. Turn left there, and left again at the alley. It's the joint on your left.

Well designed, clean rooms with amazing bathroom facilities (jacuzzi bath, waterfall showerhead). You'll want to get there early to book a room for the night. 7:00 is okay, or you might have to wait. Rooms are around 80,000 on the weekends, but well worth it.

5,000원 cab to Myeong-dong, City Hall, Jongno, Itaewon, Hongdae, etc.

I lived next door to that place, and would frequently go there with my girl just for fun.

Thanks for the advice. I can't seem to find Sinchon Station on the line #2 subway map.

Any other sugggestions? I would like to have a few choices in case one does not work out. Maybe a nice, cheap one near Itaewon.

Thanks.

Actually, that whole street/area is LINED with cheap motels. You can tell by looking which ones are nice. If you struck out there, I'm sure you could find a comparable one close by.

That place rocks though. PC, LCD TV, funky lights, etc.

Thanks for the advice so far.

Anyone know of any motels in the Gangnam (Kangnam?) area or Near the express bus terminal (we are taking the express bus).
Hopefully in walking distance from the subway station.

I saw this on Tv ad tonight
www.hotelelleinn.com
My mum stayed at Gaya Hotel which is near this one too.
Lots of military stay there bc it's close to USO.

I know it's pretty new opened last year
It's near Samgakji station line 4 or line 6 which is 2 stops from Itaewon.
there's a map on the website, near Namyeong station on line 1 just south of Seoul Station

Good advice so far.

Anyone else out there with suggestions or favorites?
Can you let me know exact subway exits and everything. We don't know Seoul that well.
