title says it all. would I be better off buying one in Korea or the States? I'm fine not having the top-of-the-line and I'm looking to pay under 200 dollars.

Thanks!

If you want to buy in the states, I'd try www.flickr.com . Type in what you're looking for, and click "compare new prices." You have to pay duty tax if you buy foreign goods from Korea. Sometimes I even get good deals on www.ebay.com , but I'd only buy from someone with 100% positive feedback with at least 100 feedback or more. Lot of the powersellers sell things new for a good price. I'd snipe it with www.auctionstealer.com . I love ebay.

Anyways, here's some advice for buying cameras in korea, taken from Daily Kimchi. http://thedailykimchi.blogspot.com/2006/11/my-new-digital-slr-canon-eos-digital.html

I think it'd be a good idea to get a video/camera combo. I have the sony dsc-p200. Plus it fits in my pocket, I take it everywhere so hopefully when I find something incredible for the day. I can videotape it or take a pic of it. It has mpeg video mode, manual settings, and automatic settings.

I really love this camera and all sony cybershots for being camcorder/camera and the very slim and portable desgin. I can get good 45 min mpeg video on a 1gb memory card. I made my homevideo dvds using nero with this baby. Ebay is probably the best for memory cards. I'd get at least 1 gb, there are some 4 and 8 gb memory stick pro duo ones with adaptors. http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?sofocus=bs&sbrftog=1&fcl=3&catref=C6&from=R10&satitle=4+gb&sacat=122615%26catref%3DC6&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D2&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&fsop=1&fsoo=1
