After some searching myself, I think that you're just pricing flights too early. I was originally looking at prices five weeks out, but they were very high. A travel agent told me that they haven't started discounting those rates yet, and that you're much better off booking about ten days in advance of your outbound flight.

12Go usually has quite good prices. But you'll have to come to Phuket then to BKK.

I'm not sure about Bangkok, but I'm going from Incheon to Singapore via Singapore Air, then catching a Tiger Air flight to Phuket. Gonna stay in Phuket for 4 days, come back to Singapore for 2 and then return to Korea. Total Price = 575,000

Most of the flights I saw on Thai Air, Korea Air, etc were about 700-900K to Bangkok, so I think I got a pretty good deal

Book directly from the internet

Air Vietnam is cheap about 18,000B return layover in Hanoi

Thai is just as cheap at 22,000B return in tax either direct or a one hour stop over in Taipei

You can get a one way business on Thai for 28k if you fancy a bit of luxury.

They are talking about it were last year anyway.

I paid 620k (inc. Tax) for a China Air flight to Phuket via Taipei.

Everyone tells me that I should have booked earlier like book in March for July.

Not sure about waiting till the last moment flights to Thailand will be pretty well booked?

End of july is summer holiday time so get in early if you want to guarantee a flight, i got my return ticket at that time for 750 000 but i didn't care about the price as my school reimbursed me.

Probably not an option for you, but travelling out of Japan is much cheaper-usually. I spent 6 years in Japan and often return for visits, usually in conjunction with further travel. For example, a flight to Bangkok out of Fukuoka in late July is Yen 49,000 or about USD 410 (not including taxes and fuel surcharges).

Eva Air has finally set their prices for late July, 535k r/t according to Soho Travel IF you can get a date where there are seats left and you either have to overnight it in Taipei or get into Bangkok at 2AM, Return leg you leave BKK at 6AM

Looking at the Thai Air site its 683k leaving the end of July returning in mid Aug. Problem is the 28th is almost completely booked. This is 50k cheaper than interpark for the same dates.

I'm going Thai, yeah its more expensive but better flight time choices and I get ff miles
